I think some of my favourite days are the ones that don't really have a plan. You get in the car, pick a direction, bring a long some tiny companions, and between here and the lake, the day becomes a memory worth keeping. ₊˚⊹ ᰔ
The Tiny Joy Archives are becoming a collection of all the little things I don't want to forget. Not necessarily the big adventures or exciting occasions, but the ordinary days that somehow make me ridiculously happy. Yesterday was one of those days.
We went to the lake.
And, of course, they came too.
First things first: Affogato before the big adventure. Caffeine intake *Important*
The big journey there: Our tiny passengers were ready for the ride.
We made it! He had no idea of where we are going but trusted the process.
Not to be dramatic, but he had never seen anything like this.
This was apparently worth the drive. He was taking it all in.
They found a big rock and immediately needed to investigate. A very important geological discovery.
A little guy just reconnecting with nature. We think it might be healing.
There was nothing particularly extraordinary about this day. And somehow, that made even more perfect.
Eventually it was time to head home. We had seen the lake, inspected the rocks, touched some grass, and successfully completed this very important field trip.
And that's the thing about tiny joys. They don't need to be life changing or particularly exciting. Sometimes they are just a sunny afternoon, a beautiful view, and a new memory with my favourite person.
Thank you for coming along and see you in the next one,
