firstly, let's go over the meaning of introvert and extrovert. an introvert is someone who gains energy by being alone in their own private space, and a extrovert is someone who gains energy by being around other people and socializing.
this leads to the most common thought that introverts are quiet and shy and that extroverts are always outgoing and energetic all the time.
i'm an introvert, but that doesn't mean i don't like hanging out with my friends or i just sit alone all day. by my friends im called an energetic introvert so even though i gain energy by being alone, i still love socializing even though it drains me!
my sister is an extrovert, and yet i see she has some stereotypical introvert qualities even though she isn't an introvert! she can be seen alone and very tired, and sometimes she also wants her alone time even if it doesn't energize her.
we all have qualities that are associated with something else but that doesn't particularly mean we are what we're associated with.
it's funny because when i tell people i'm an introvert they automatically assume i dont go outside, don't have any friends, and is super shy in class. which im basically the opposite of lmao
lets not put everybody in predetermined boxes
