I hate how I can’t go two fucking scrolls without seeing an ad or some ai generated bullshit on my feed, I also can’t stand all of the losers who eat that slop up. I had some ai generated mason bro tell me to off myself because I left a mean comment on some other loser promoting their shitty ai song. I’m so sick of how normalized and praised being a disgusting hateful piece of shit has become on that app. Every year more and more racist, homophobic, transphobic and ableist troglodytes keep invading this app and making the space worse for everyone else. It’s annoying af. Especially when they see someone just a teensy little bit different than them (GOD FORBID) and start harassing them.
Not to mention TikTok’s fucking algorithm is complete DOG WATER HOGWASH BULLSHIT. It doesn’t matter how many tags I filter or dweebs I block they somehow keep coming back, sometimes in droves. Sometimes my fyp puts me on the wrong side of the platform and I just have to rethink my life choices.
It really fucking sucks seeing TikTok devolve because it’s the only place where I see homegrown real videos made by real people or there’s a fun trend that I actually enjoy. (Like larptube) Sometimes that platform reminds me of what YouTube used be. I don’t think I’ll ever get over the fact I have to share it with hateful freaks.
I have more I wanna say, especially after the addition of stickers and TikTok shop (two things I have very mixed feelings about) but I think I’ll end my post here for now. Thinking of more words is too hard for my reptile brain. -_-

Not gonna hold out, whole reason I MADE this account was to actually say goodbye to tiktok, it's not fun, all my fav content is gone cause of this FUCKASS law we have, and overall it's just doom and gloom ALL the fucking time. (¬`‸´¬)

tiktok has been like this for a long time. i fear theres no real benefit to keeping the app. maybe use youtube shorts, as i find theyre usually reposted tiktoks, but the comments at least have far more substance. also i personally just click on the youtube shorts on my homepage that interest me instead of scrolling.

Personally, I think TikTok was doomed from the start.
I still remember stuff like YouTube in 2012, and I never saw the massive amount of ads nor AI slop back on YouTube from all those years ago.
I miss it.
