Vintage store haul

I was on my way to get some new pants for work when I saw a sign that said "Antique Store: Closing Sale 50% off" and so I had to take a detour.

I knew that these little antique/vintage stores existed, but I had never been in them (its a group of maybe 6 of them in one old ass building with no AC since they used to be part of an insudtrial complex).

I had very little cash on me today, so there were some things I simply did not buy because the card fee is just kinda stupid.

So first on the list of things I did not buy:

I will forever hate myself for not buying this.

The dishes are handmade afaik, there was nothing denoting a manufacturer. The sugar, creamer, and teapots were from Japan, as were the little salt and pepper shakers, and the spoon rest was made in Italy.

Buying this set would've set me back probably over $200. I do not have that kind of money right now. And so I didn't buy it. But GOD I wish I could have. UGH. Whoever comes into the possession of this set... ugh. I wish that were me.

There was also this silly little lobster dish. I'm a fan of this guy. I just didn't see a need for this specific dish. He's a cutie though.

Okay! Onto things I DID get!

This made up for it tbh. My turntable is still out of service (needs a new belt), but I couldn't pass this up. $5 too, AND in good condition!

This still had the original plastic! I like Rimsky-Korsakov as a composer so I thought this was cool. Also $5.

50 cents for this button. Two whole quarters. It now lives on my tote bag. I am, in fact, an expert napper, I love sleeping.

That's all. I also saw an old transistor radio for like $60, and while I think that would be SO cool to display in my house, I had no cash and didn't want to pay the card fee.
