we might've been scammed $300+ AUD :^

300 AUD in other currencies for reference:
USD: 209
Pounds: 158
Euros: 186

So with AI and dropshipping ads being everywhere many people, mostly older people, are falling for scams a lot more than ever...

... Yup my mum ordered 7 AI generated galaxy star projectors probably dropshipped from aliexpress or some place like that on the website uktrendzone and I just wanna talk about it.

Because of the amount of money she spent combined with having to pay a few bills and it being the end of the month we basically barely have any money now, dad gets paid next week I believe but until then dad's definitely gonna be doing nothing but complaining about money.

Dad made her email the support email listed on the website, many trustpilot reviews mention that the email just straight up basically does nothing

if you actually go to the website you'll find kitchen appliances and not any of the star projector stuff a lot of reviews talk about, but the checkout page had the same branding and the logo and stuff

I told my dad (because they share the bank account) that he should contact the bank about it but he said he can't because it's still pending

idk how the process works I use a different bank than my parents and since getting my bank account I've only ever bought from bandcamp, ebay and a school book fair so I've never been scammed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
