Friendly reminder: you don't have to have the same opinions as everyone else on the internet

I am so so sick of seeing ppl online switch up LIKE THAT bc the people under a video giving an opinion or smth disagree. I HATE this!!

You are ur own person, if you genuinely change ur mind about something bc of what someone said online thats obviously fine, but if you switch up JUST BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE THINK SOMETHING ELSE- 

Like it's okay to have different opinions, some people think star wars is amazing but I personally find it boring. No one can change my mind and I don't expect people who love it to start hating it just because I don't like it. 

So just a PSA, it's normal to have differing opinions, it's normal for us to not think the same. Bee urself guys pls.

it's also perfectly okay to have fluctuating opinions

i mean just because you hold an opinion on something

real but like sometimes i see an opinion and im like "oh i agree with that" then i see a contrary opinion then im like "oh i also agree with that" AHHH

One thing I find most annoying is when people say that one opinion or character, thing, etc is "overrated". Because the reason one character, for example, may be overrated is because they are a genuinely interesting and good character, then everyone all a sudden doesn't like them because too many people do. And suddenly an "overrated" character is not really very overrated anymore.

Either this or the same with "underrated" characters. Not many people like them, so everyone HAS to like them now. Just say what you like, and stick with it. The amount of people who feel the same doesn't matter. Don't follow the endless train. (I didnt mean for that to rhyme by the way, but that was very convincing 😭.)

People are afraid of getting grilled, but in life you gotta be comfortable being uncomfortable

I completely agree. I think it's healthy to hear different perspectives and even change your mind if someone makes a good point, but changing your opinion just because it's the popular one feels so disingenuous.

The internet sometimes makes it seem like everyone has to agree on everything, when in reality it's completely normal to like and dislike different things. It would be so boring if we all had the exact same tastes and opinions

OH MY GOD YES BRO EXACTLY!! then ppl are like "omg u are awful for thinking blahblahblah instead of blahblahblah!" (I don't mean having like an horrible opinion or like rude lol)
