Posting this to see what movies you all have watched and enjoyed, but no one else you know has ever heard of it.
To start with mine, since I've never met another person who knows about this movie, Kafka released in 1991 starring Jeremy Irons. The only reason I know about it is because it's mentioned in Johnny the Homicidal Maniac #3. It's obviously inaccurate to Kafka's life and works but it's a really enjoyable watch for me.
@herbalpoison Probably among mainstream movie goers but I've met two or three people who knew of it. My uncle showed me a youtuber a couple years ago called the horror geek specifically talking about the movie when I was younger.

this movie is not worth watching for the plot. this movie IS worth watching for the ANIMATION. good god is this film gorgeous. it's a furry movie with psychedelic imagery brought to life by the same studio that did akira... what more could you want?
