I love knowing what supernatural things people believe in! my father doesn’t believe in dinosaurs but believes in demons so XD

it doesn’t have to be a creature, I know a lot of people believe in predictive/prophetic dreams, or maybe you think aliens are real!

Me personally…I believe in Lucky Charms, when someone says something like “I always get good grades with this pen” I 100% buy it, that is your lucky pen and it’ll work with pure magic!!

I am a Tarot girlie if we count that under supernatural?
I also frequently visually hallucinate and do have prophetic dreams so my sense of reality is already kinda skewed sometimes lmao.

I am of a seaming very few that is explicitly not. As in to me none of it at all is real and im purely material, math and logic about everything.
Just popping in here for curiosity to see the wild stuff that might show up, lol, and also if there are also others out that working on pure rationality and dont go for ghosts/magic etc.

yess!! mostly in ghosts and demons and such, i hallucinate at night very often and i swear i'm not just dreaming. i also believe that there are other realities different from our current one, i've had a lot of dreams that felt way too real to a point where i'm not sure if they were just in my head or actually happened.

and lucky charms too, i have a few of my own as well :D there's a necklace i never take off, i'm not always lucky with it but i do feel it protects me in some way.

Ive had prophetic dreams, as have a lot of people on my mother's side of the family have, I think it somehow runs in the family. A lot of the times they seem to count as visitations from deceased loved ones, they like to pop up during eventful moments. My mom tells me she would often dream of a family member the night before they would pass away, and that when she was little and taken to funerals, she would see the person the funeral was for standing and smiling as if they were alive.

I also seem to have a strange thing where I'll think or mention something, only for it to happen soon after. My family forbids me from saying the word "snake" outloud because one will always find its way into our house.

I dabbled in tarot once, JUST once, and strange things started happening.. our faucet turned on by itself right in front of my eyes, I kept hearing my name being called, our dog started to act skittish and I swear I even felt someone grab me when I was alone. Even if it wasn't the cause of all that I'm too scared to ever touch it again lmao

@reverie99 my mom is the SAME way! the dead predictions and the prophetic dreams. she says I might get them soon but no luck so I’m becoming less and less of a believer :p

@ziv Mine started when I was about 11, theyre not exactly the same as my mother's were, so it might end up being different for you too if you get them?? Mine are more focused on symbolism and hers were more literal. But she says I get them way more frequently than she ever did, and that she doesnt really have them happen much any more

I definitely believe in vampires, wholeheartedly. As "mythical" as they sound, I believe they do exist. I mean, stranger things have happened in life. And if I ever do meet one, I won't tell anybody I begged to be turned, but there will be signs lol

I do not, I’ve never been much of a spiritual person myself. Unless I get to see those things by myself, I take everything other people say with a grain of salt. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything supernatural either, and I felt anything of the sort, then it’s all in my head.

Not supernatural per se, but I do beleive that there are things we can't understand. I don't know if this counts as spiritual but I beleive there is some sort of energy (?) in the universe. Like Karma, good luck, a sort of ebb and flow. I can't really put words to it becuase it's probably so much bigger than us that we can't know.

I think of it similar to the fact that we have about 38 trillion non human cells in our own body. We have an entire microbiome of bacteria and other microorganisms that live inside of us. We have mites that live on our skin. They have no concept and probably no idea they live inside of a bigger being, us. I can assume it might be possible then that we are a part of something much bigger than ourselves. But we would have no way of knowing it.

It sounds really silly but the way I imagine this energy? Is comparing it to the lifestream in the game Final Fantasy 7 😅 Not that it's exactly like that, but its a way for my brain to sort of conceptualize what I mean becuase I don't know how to word it. I don't exactly believe in ghosts, I've wanted to for a long time. I wished I could still see a sign of my family members that have passed. But so far no such luck. But I wonder if some part of us goes back to the earth and becomes part of it again. Just too far out of our reach.

Scientists have found that fungi form a massive underground"network"connecting almost all of plant life to each other across the world. The network uses electrical signals to "talk" to each other and sends out a sort of pulse almost like a heartbeat. Interesting fact: Fungi are actually more genetically similar to humans than plants. We share 50 percent of the same DNA. Both humans and Fungi branched off from a common ancestor 1.3 billion years ago.

So maybe it's similar to that. The Earth is more connected than we realize? Sorry for a slighly off topic word vomit, I think about this often and recently read a book about fungi from the library. 😋

I am reminded of an interview in a very old book studying the fairy faith in Ireland.

The interviewer (would-be anthropologist before 'anthropology' was even a thing) asked a rural farmer about his belief in fairies.

He said "I don't believe in fairies. But they're there alright!"

@Cranky Old Witch The fae is there but non of us believe! they’re there in spite XD

@ziv I do as I can to stay on their good side 😊

A little buttermilk or whiskey goes a long way

I don't even believe in reality. It's all a lie.

@Josh Nobody

You know... I think you're onto something, or on something... either way, I agree

The user beneath me has been detected giving their own reply Kudos!!!

Nope.

Only thing out there is bad people and wild animals.
I'd be more inclined to believe in demons possessing people than anything else.  (would explain why there are sick people)

i believe in the existence of karma. also maybe not so supernatural(? i also believe that animals are as intelligent as we are, it's just that because we're human, we don't understand their ways.

For sure, I believe there's a ghost in my house. A girl who used to live here ended her life in front of our house and one time she threw a candle at my sisters, but they told her we were good people and nothing like that has happened again, but I swear she's here.
