What was y’all’s first concert? Let’s hear itttt

I’ve never been to a concert before, so I need to hear about everyone’s first one and maybe also how it went

2021, system of a down, korn, russian circles. me and my friends were up in the nosebleeds but it was still a great show. i was really into soad and korn at the time so it was a great time. i remember it all fondly, despite my tastes drifting away from that sound!

advice for someone who hasn't been to one before: people worry about shows too much. worry about having nobody to go with, the crowds, etc etc etc when its all just fun and nobody cares as long as you don't shit on the floor like that one noah kahan concert

oh I have a fun one actually!! have any of you heard of NateWantsToBattle? (I think he just goes by Nathan Sharp now)

I was like 13 and Nate was going on his VERY first tour, and by some miracle, one of the locations was in my origin state of good ol' Utah. Was tucked into the back of an extremely small venue and I cherish it to this day, it was hella scuffed but they were new so that was to be expected.

My first more big concert was for Babymetal tho, they are a treat live.

i dont think i can call this a concert, but one time at 2022 i think, was a part of some local organization in my area — we held up some concert and a bunch of local bands performed, pretty cool stuff... my favorite one was the band who performed the marias songs.

but i havent been to one with big-named bands.

Mine was a band called PRETTYMUCH, they were at their peak popularity around the same time as Why Don't We and there was a lot of overlap between the fandoms. I'm curious to know if anyone here has ever heard of them, I don't meet a bunch of people who have but it'd be nice to talk about them with someone cause to this day they remain in my top 3 favorite boybands right next to One Direction and 5SOS. The concert was amazing, I met a few of their crew people and friends. Didn't end up meeting the band but it was still so cool to see them live. I went with my friend and my stepmother and it was so much fun! I had glitter in my hair for months tho lol.

Realistically, it was probably KidzBop lol, but we're going to say that it was the Hella Mega Tour w/ Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day. It was absolutely amazing and one of my favorites to have gone to. The energy was incredible, and I would love to see Green Day again, since we left a little early. I saw Fall Out Boy again in 2023, and I would 100% recommend them to anyone who has the chance to see them. Everyone was on their feet at both shows and having such a good time, living in the moment and conversing with each other. I've always loved how music can bring people together like that.

my first concert was molchat doma at a local venue in 2023 (iirc). it was pretty cool! it was a smaller venue, which i totes recommend for a first-timer (especially cuz they're cheaper!) since then, i've seen duran duran (stadium venue) and gary numan (also highly recommend!!)

Unless this memory is just something I made up, but my first concert I'm pretty sure was Hevisaurus (a metal band aimed for children, who perform dressed as dinosaurs) sometime in 2010-2012 on some marketplace or something. The entire family went since my brother wanted to and iirc it was pretty cool, even to my 4-6 y/o self who wanted so hard to prove that she isn't her parents and therefore claimed that she didn't like rock and metal :D

very fun, i almost broke my tooth and i lost my shoe in the mosh pit

more of a rave than a concert but i saw bear grillz in michigan last year, it was so fun!!

This is kind of pathetic but I was like 12 and my mom brought me to a small concert for this band called rainbow kitten surprise. Really good band, still love them, but I was a baby and got really overwhelmed because it was crowded and a lot of people were drunk.

I saw Hillary Duff in 2007 ☺ 

Then the next year I begged my mom to drop me off at this place called The Exchange so I could see Into Eternity. Sry mom...I found MySpace which lead me to Metal and Hardcore music 😇

Peter Capaldi (yes, the guy from Dr Who!) in London earlier this year, with my partner :) I also saw Zoë Wanamaker there. She was just a couple feet away from me.

I went to FEQ like two years ago to see Weezer but that don't really count so my first ACTUAL show was Truck VIolence in Trois-Rivières @Cafe Bar Zenob which is some cool tiny bar venue and I got to like record all of it and interview them after which was really cool :3 I even brought my cassette tape and they signed it !
