using larp instead of poser

when people use larp instead of poser it really grinds my gears. like if you don't like using poser just say performative. it worked for the whole performative male thing. i understand how it probably started getting used, assuming it started with "oh he's live action roleplaying as a metalhead" but i don't know.

the way i see it, if you say larp instead of poser that makes you a poser </3

@BootlegFriend THIS!!! It makes me so mad to see people use LARP in such a negative context, especially when actual LARPers are just pretending to do something fun, like IRL DnD. Poser isn't a slur so we don't need to adjust language to say that someone is being performative without using the word poser
