personally i prefer digital... cough im broke and i find the pdfs cough. (。>﹏<) but it helps me see whether or not i actually like a book before i commit to buying a physical copy! also, it's a lot easier to js pull smth up on your phone/laptop rather than carry a heavy book around. let me know ur thoughts! ( ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ഒ

I used to prefer physical books, but after going thru uni where most of my readings were PDFs, I got used to digital! It's better (imo) if you like annotating a lot, and I definitely agree it's more convenient to carry around 😋

I have a bunch of physical books that I want to read, so maybe I'll flip my opinion again after I do so...

I find physical pages more engaging. If I really like the book then I could probably read it in any format, but if it's something I'm not all that into, I'm much more likely to get bored reading it through my phone.

i prefer everything to be physical. including books. why? because i feel like i own that thing. if i bought it off digital, i dont feel like i own that thing at all

Physical all the wayyyyy, part of the experience of a book for me is feeling the pages and storing it on my shelf

i prefer physical, as i am currently trying to build my physical media collection. going to stores, or even shopping for books online gives me the finality of choosing to spend my money wisely, rather than digital books where i can just start & stop (or ultimately drop because i don't have a great attention span) whenever i want. i prefer the commitment of purchasing a physical book. audiobooks are also just not my style.

plus seeing the books i've read lined on my shelf (desk at the moment) is nice. i do prefer to read things like manga or comics online as most of the physical ones are either out of stock most of the time, or just not available yet.

Physical books all the way. I like being able to feel the product I've bought and to have it for myself, to put in my bookshelf and reread over and over again. I also have quite sensitive eyes, so looking at a screen for too long really does a number on me. Bonus: Book smell.

i love physical books, but i actually don't read them often. i have chronic migraines and i find reading books painful q_q so i mostly read digital. it's also easier to access digital books when you have a specific one in mind. but nothing compares to wandering through a library and picking out whatever catches your interest!

I’m an audiobook reader! I was an avid reader as a kid and read physical books, but my adhd went into overdrive around teenhood and I just went into a massive slump…I missed reading so much! Finally got into Libby and now I read regularly again :) It’s just so much easier to read when I can look around to think and do things with my hands! Also I like to have a pdf if I’m really into a book and I want to highlight :) Especially with nonfiction!

I prefer physical cause I usually get nauseous or a headache if I read too long on a screen that and it’s kinder harder too

If you have money you can buy a book but if you don't want it it's okay, it's actually depends on you

Honestly, I love to hold a physical book in my hands, but I get why it's more convenient to use it in a digital/audiobook format. Over-consumption and cost plays into it, too. Also, the fact that I do not have and probably will never be able to afford my dream Beauty and the Beast-esque library, so there's that...

I literally cannot finish a page on a screen, it's just so unnatural to not hold a large amount of paper clothed in a binder and scan it line by line, y'know?

I love physical but I feel like I read slower.

I read manga but I still prefer physical! It’s just nicer and it looks good as a collection

definitely physical!!! I love being able to annotate physically and just the feeling of getting a new book makes me happy. dat new book smell and cracking da spine...oh yeah

I prefer physical books because I don't get email notifications on them as I'm reading them and my eyes get to take a proper break from screens lol. Although I use both methods to read because some books are too expensive to buy physically, especially when I just want a preview to see if I'll like it or not before buying it. I've also had more luck finding books of niche topics online than I have in person. :)
