i LOVEEE finding ways to indulge in physical media, and music of that category has piqued my interest! do y'all have any favorite physical music types + where are you getting them from?

we have the sickest cd store in the world in my town, and another media store that has more alternative stuff. LOVE CDS 5EVER

@Xx-Dart-Darling-xX JEALOUSSS i don’t have ANY places like that dude there is nothing in VA

I LOVE CDS I usually burn my own or get them from this local store!!!

@sarahsloveaffair I WANT TO BURN CDs I NEED TO GET MORE INTO THAT!! i do have an okay CD collection

i mostly get them from amazon or record label sites... discogs scares me.

@AdenOnTheWeb understandable yo i haven’t really purchased from there but i think my grandma did for my christmas presents

I get most of my CDs from record label sites, though there is a CD/DVD exchange near where I live. I've also been hoping to get the materials to start burning my own soon! ( ∩´͈ ᐜ `͈∩)

@_Alien-Catz_ i am jealous. i’d love to have something like that where i love

#TeamCDForever haha we have here a really nice music store, it's small but has almost everything

@Saddy HEAVY on team CD!! 🥹🥹 love me a CD and LOVE me a good music store

I like getting CDs and the occasional vinyl from Tower Records on the internet, Bandcamp (also on the internet) and Newbury Comics at the mall.

@Mitchy yess!! the internet is my #1 plug for CDs because we have NO good stores close enough

i like goin to newbury comics to buy records cuz they always have somethin i want, but otherwise older records i'll get off of ebay depending on the price + seller info. (pretty cheap for me because i really like the old movie soundtracks that nobody cares about)

a good majority of my cds were either my parents' old stuff or things i found at goodwill. i also burn cds a lot which is so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!

i think i prefer cds cuz i can go places with em tho

@drduchessbgrosse I RELATE TO THIS so many of my CDs were my mom’s and just like thrifted or whatever

i have a vinyl collection i started in middle school and am still adding to! mostly 33s but some 45s, some are vintage (i was huge into the beatles and other classic rock) and some are newer. i absolutely love vinyl <3

i love CDs and casettes too but my vinyl collection is definitely the biggest of the three

@DIZMAL dude that is INSANELY awesome.. i hope to grow a massive collection too over the years

@malevolentxmachinez thanks! i bet u'll have an awesome collection one day too :D if you like any rly retro music i'd recommend checking in antique shops, they usually have quite a lot of records and theyre usually pretty cheap (like i got some rly good ones for $5-10). and it's a lot of fun to flip through all the bins of albums! tbh at this point there may even be slightly more modern records in there too now like 90s stuff, i did most of my thrifting for vintage records in the 2010s and it was mostly music from the 30s-70s so i'm sure there's different stuff out there now. not always the best quality since theyre used but usually fine and playable! u can also look for local record shops they often have used vinyls for cheaper and theres a better chance of newer stuff like ptv or sws. sorry to kinda ramble there i just thought id share my tips :3
