Club Penguin? OK, I'll have to admit that I had to look that up. I had no idea that existed! Funny enough, since I'm a former techie, I first thought that Club Penguin was a site for Linux OS users! 🤣

I never had a chance to use that site. I heard you could create quizzes and polls with it. It's interesting that you used the Wayback Machine to locate remnants of your old account.
Fun fact: As an FYI in case you didn't know, the Wayback Machine allows users to download the contents of select Yahoo Groups for later restoration off the site. Please note that I've never tried it, but I read on the site that it was possible.

Several now defunct extreme metal forums, livejournal, deviantArt (until it became so overrun with furries, shitty stock photography accounts, and pretentious selfie idiots), Flickr.
Minus the metal forums, these all still exist, but the user interface and/or user base has become either garbage or no longer enjoyable to work with.

Yeah I spent a LOT of time on old Roblox

@DIZMAL Yeah, Miniclip was how I found out about Runescape, spent a lot of time on there. There was also that one World Cup Soccer game on it that my friends and I used to play a lot as well but couldn't find at some point.
oh man. Gurl.com Vampirefreaks, neopets, some teen dating website called spin the bottle, hot or not. i miss all of them.
That's one of the more unique sets of mid-2000s sites on this list! Of them, the kids and I were on Neopets.

For websites that were more exclusive for my country it was rexik.sk and mojpsik (mojpsik was somehting like howrse but with dogs). Rexik was like facebook for kids and my whole childhood happened on that site

Most of these flash games got preserved via flashpoint archive, if you remember the games, they are likely still there. I used to hang around those sites as well, in the early days for me, it was club penguin and adventure quest (the devs are still active and the elite account still costs the same $19), and in the later 2000’s, like 2008-2013 it was Darkorbit, which went to shit, it’s still around too but in a far worse state.
@Pancreas Harvester Yeah, every once in a while I do like to browse Flashpoint for a dose of nostalgia. I'd forgotten about Adventure Quest, I want to have another look at that and Dragon Fable as well, now that I think of it.
All three of their flagship games, AQ, dragon fable, and mech quest are still around, and I think the devs have their own forums/subreddit where they still respond, I’m not sure if they are still the OG team but I hop on occasionally and it’s no worse for wear than when it released
Club Penguin was my main one (and I still play lol), Stardoll, Webkinz, barbie/.com, Disney Channel’s game website
