Just what the title says! I wanna hear about your DND characters, your self-inserts, the world they exist in, anything!! Show me your art of them!

What universe do they exist in? What are their flaws? What makes them happy? What do you want to workshop for them?

Compliment other people's characters! Go wild!!

two things awe me most: the starry sky above me, and the moral law within me"

I have an NPC that I always put as a "Secret" Boss.

It's name is Grith Brokenshield, a copper dragonborn from the mudslide of Tarque, southside of the old capital of Ahadd.

Grith started as my PC for a one shot and then as we kept playing with my group it became more and more prevalent, as we did use the system of dame character sheet through different games, (to simulate a journey) it became more and more powerful and well known.

Ever since Grith was born (imagine the orcs from LoTR) it was cursed with longevity as most copper dragons and drakes, giving it a longer lifetime that could span over centuries if unchecked.

In the world of Tarque there's a war now old in current campaigns but fresh in the time we've played, The Gremial War of Warwick city of Pabellones. Where the segregation grew larger and larger until there was no point in socializing with anyone but those of your same race, creating 6 gremial factions, The Prima, Elfs. The Secondary, Humans. The Third, Dwarves. The Fourth, Orcs. The Fifth, Tieflings. And The Sixth, the dragonborns.

Grith became a soldier for The Sixth, and slowly but surely kept getting into better ranks by trials of combat within its superiors. Killing in the process 4 of the 7 he fought, before getting recognized as Captain Grith "The Executor" Tallshield. With that title he fought countless times sometimes being part of the few who came back, always with the head of the enemy, be it what it was. Except Tur'Asul one of The Fourths captains, known as "Cicar's favorite" (their war god) which was the only foe he couldn't win over.

Their battles span over years, until in one finally it conceded battle, Grith had lost and accepted its defeat, but Tur'Asul didn't kill it. He rather kept him alive, knowing of the resilience and curse of the copper kind he dragged him tied from head to toes in barbed wire inside a cage all the way to Cicar's keep. The old temple of the god of war only the higher authorities knew about, old, in ruins and far from everything. And in that place the Captain of The Sixth, Grith Tallshield rot for centuries, getting to be just bones and skin, but unable to die from natural causes. Feeding himself of insects and drinking from moss.

All until a scout squad found him, freed him and gave him a call, from now on he'd be a man of the sword. Grith Fallenshield "The Lost Executioner" was free now, in a world after war, having The Second win, and The Fourth and Sixth, exterminated. Now only there's war in his disheartened soul for what he feels he "Could've changed" that outcome.

@Mobus That's absolutely badass!! I love how deep the storyline goes!

oh boy, not a dnd character but I have an OC their name is actually Nimthiriel xD. Made them in high school alongside another friend, we would text larp with our ocs. Nim is a fallen angel that likes to occasionally live as a human. They give their soul to Lucifer to hold on to (like the angel memories and powers) so they are fully able to live as human. It's both done as a boredom thing and as a first hand experience of humans in that era i guess. I don't have any art of them on my laptop, maybe I'll look on my desktop later. Just me though, with wings, I made them dark red cuz I had to be even edgier as a teen.

@Nimthiriel That sounds so fun!! I miss the days of having and playing with a character with those kinds of storylines at a regular frequency. So fun and somewhat cathartic to explore!!

@Nimthiriel thats so real :((

i love love love my ocs so dearly :P they're college students (mostly) who exist within my beautiful fictionalized version of massachusetts. the 'protag' (tho there isn't much real plot at this time) is allie nakano-wright. she's an animation student who draws yuri fanart on tumblr and she's involved in a really awful love triangle with two people who are cheating on each other lol.

@medeuxsa i'm rlly fond of them!!! i spend wayyy too much time thinking about random bullshit from their lives like what their last.fm stats look like and what classes they'd choose for college pre-registration LOL

I don't have too many, but the ones I hold dearly to are my Touhou OCs. If they existed, they wouldn't be important to a game probably.

They're all of Suwako's descendants. I wanted to make a story focusing on the most important descendant of each Japanese era.

The two I have most thought out are Kikumo from the Heian period and Sachie from the Shōwa era.

Here's a bit of their stories

Kikumo

A long time ago, there lived an infertile priestess. She was getting old, and it seemed like a child was never coming her way no matter how many times she tried.

So, every day and every night, she'd pray and pray until one morning she sat by the lake and a small figure emerged. That figure was Suwako and told the priestess that she would give her a "seed of life" and if the priestess had swallowed the seed, she would give birth to the most blessed child in the world.

As well, Suwako gifted the priestess 3 iron rings for her future child to use. She was confused at first, but as soon as Kikumo grew, she knew what it was for.

Kikumo was always different. She possessed immense strength and became skilled in fighting at a very young age. She was energetic and tough, unlike the graceful image of a traditional shrine maiden.

The people admired how she protected her shrine and how powerful and skilled she was.

One day, the emperor had heard of the power Kikumo had.

There was a giant frog that kept snatching children in the middle of the night. Nobody could do anything to stop it.

He knew that Kikumo was the only one that could tame the giant frog.

And she did (his name IDK right now).

I still need to figure out what she does with the rest of her life but I think the taming the frog monster is a good start.

Sachie

3 generations after the descendants of Moriya left their shrine, another gifted woman was born into their family. And her child would be especially gifted as well.

She was born on a summer day in 1965. Her parents were poor and her father was abusive, beating her over the smallest mistakes.

Sachie didn't know how to cope with the stress every day, so she became ruthless and violent to everyone she know. She fought everyone who breathed the same air as her. One day, a shy, meek girl had enough with the fighting and spoke up. Sachie had beaten the girl up so well, she was hospitalized and Sachie got expelled.

Her parents didn't care about her education, so she had nowhere to go.

Until she ran into the Diamond Rings, the most infamous girl gang in the entirety of the Nagano prefecture. The leader Hisako saw Sachie, so full of worry and despair, and took her in. There, Sachie trained hard as she could so she could be unbeatable.

One day, Sachie noticed something about the 3 bracelets that sat on her wrist. Her mother had told her they were a family heirloom and to never loose them or else she'd get bad luck. She never knew why, but now she did, as she realized if she focused enough, she could control them and use them as a weapon.

And that was the day the Diamond Rings became even more legendary than they ever thought they would be.

While walking in the streets one day, Sachie had unfortunately ran into the men's gang. Sachie had become pretty well known at this point, so instead of challenging her, they honored her. It was the first time they had met, but Sachie had instantly fallen in love with this one man, Juuro.

Sachie had gotten unexpectedly pregnant, leading to a shotgun wedding. She loved her child so much, but with the unknowingly great power she held, she was going insane from it. 4 months after her giving birth, she became almost completely unable to take care of the baby.

So, in a dream, Suwako reached out to Sachie and told her to leave the baby in Suwako's hands. At the shrine.

Sachie had no idea where the shrine was, but as soon as she woke up, she suddenly knew where to go. So, she told Juuro to say goodbye to the baby, hopped on her chunky bike, and dropped the baby off at the shrine.

You probably know who that baby is by now.
