I love listening to all genres of music and I am always on the hunt for new bands and songs. I'd say my taste is pretty mainstream when it comes to each genre but a band I know that never gets talked about is Schlong. Lowkey they're kinda ass but like in a good way yk?

Most niche artist I know is alfarinn; it’s a solo black metal/ambient project from the dude who is behind morkesis :^)

CLAYMORE!!! they are a newer thrash metal band based in Arizona and its genuinely close to my favorite albums rn, there album is called Destroying Evil!!
Oh and also DemonSpell, my fave album from them rn is blessed be the dark (another metal band)

I wouldn't know how to measure a band's "nicheness", so I'm just gonna mention a few bands that barely anyone knows that deserve more recognition:
Dead Calm: A Canadian heavy/thrash metal band, the vocalists voice is incredible, it's baffling to me that they're so obscure, maybe they arrived to the scene too late.
Feff: Nü/Alternative Metal from New York. They sounded like a mix of Godsmack and Metallica, I'm not kidding. I thought they were gonna be huge in 2006. I actually know them because they added me on Hi5 and MySpace back in the day, the last I heard of them is that they renamed themselves to Untappd and then disbanded.
Jonathan Beaudette: A guy who composes orchestral pieces. He doesn't even get 20 monthly listeners, which means Spotify gets to steal what little revenue he would have gotten.
Meliah Rage: Thrash metal from Connecticut. Another case of a band that appeared to late in the scene.
Maybe MySpace was all the friends we made along the way.
"The Divorce" i found one of their cds at a thrift store and it was a great album, reminds me of ciwwaf if it had some screams in it here and there, they have like 30 listeners but i recommend them

Rebel city radio, I’m not sure if they’re on sporting- but my dad went to a gig years and years ago- friends with the guitarist. I have a CD, he has another cd and shirt lolol
i really like Nature's Neighbor. Perch Privileges is my fav song of theirs!
this band is from swansea, they're very local to me. it's black metal, so you might not like it, but this is probably the most niche band i know

the most niche band i know is probably south arcade!! they have like one popular song that isn't really popular but they dont even have 1m listeners on spotify last time i checked. they're like a garage-rock UK band and they're SO good! the lead signer's vocals are really impressive i gotta admit
