I will always rep A Modest Proposal, they're a post hardcore band from my city and they're really killer live!
I also really like The Fibonaccis, they were an early 80s art punk band, I was apparently their #3 listener last year, idk who the other two who listened to them more are but I wanna meet them ( ・ω・)
And I've been getting into Bull of Heaven lately as well. They're less unknown but still also very much unknown. They are famous for songs like 310: ΩΣPx0(2^18×5^18)p*k*k*k which is essentially a zip bomb of a song with a combined length of 3.343 quindecillion years. I'm currently listening to 117: Change Not as Much as the Style of a Letter, which has a runtime of about 16 days (I'm around 40 minutes in). It's a lot of ambient droning, but weirdly I can't pull myself away. One of theirs is like 6 months long and thats the longest (feasibly) listenable song, and someone has done it apparently. If you're not so much into the weird avant garde ambient sound they also have Superstring Theory Verified, which is 18 minutes of what I would describe as acid rock (as opposed to Superstring Theory Refuted, which is roughly 45 minutes of drone)
I also like Meat Puppets, they're 80s-90s punk and relatively unknown today and the album Too High To Die is pretty good; the album When Horses Would Run by Being Dead; the album Songs Before Bed by Otto Benson
That's about all I can think of off the top of my head (*´・∀・)
If this is a lot to read I'm sorry ヽ( ´ー`)ノ
