Anyone else have a physical media collection?

Been getting into physical media for songs, games (PS3 and XBOX one) and movies mainly cause streaming services and most online game platforms SUCK now!

Anyone else have one? (Might be the dumbest question to ask this site but I will anyways)

im slowly starting one! i currently have a couple of vinyls (metallica and mcr) but im planning on getting more in the future :3

I absolutely love physical media, I just think it adds so much more personality and whimsy to someones life 

I have a ton of games from when I was younger (gbc/gba, PS2, xbox 360, wii, 3DS). I don't really collect games anymore though as I mostly play games on pc. I also have a small CD collection! I've been working on my CD collection lately as I didn't have many from when I was a teenager due to mp3s/streaming being more common. But I want to have all my favorite albums on CDs one day :)

YES love being able to hold my favourite albums or films in my hands and know i will always have it :-D

Yes, I do! I'm new to this, not true to this, so I only have 2 vinyls and 8 CDs. I really want a digital camera and a DVD player (I only have distant memories of having one as a kid :() I do have a few magazines and a Polaroid camera with no batteries.

Oh, I love my physical media. With few exceptions, I have kept pretty much any piece of physical media I've gotten. I have vinyl, cassettes, cds, old PS1 and PS2 games, DVDs and even VHS --and even the VCR to use them! My partner has even more than I do, which is nuts, but we're both older, so...

I'm not gonna lie, though, it takes up a LOT of space, and if you move? It is a lot of extra heavy packing. If you've got the space, definitely expand your collection because it's really nice to actually OWN something. Disney can't come in and take your copy of Star Wars or something. It's yours.

Pawn shops, eBay, and your local library are all good resources for starting or expanding your collections.

Everything that isn't saved will be lost.

Then again, I just checked on 100TB's of my archive data a few weeks ago and it looks like I have lost about 85% of all my data!

Yes! I have CD’s mostly, for music and movies (I found Fight Club at home!). I also have cassettes and vinyl, and we have a lot that my grandpa collected in our house as well. Super fun to use and collect :))

Yeah of course, including (but not limited to) music (CDs, compact cassette, sometimes vinyl), movies (VHS mostly, sometimes Blu-ray, rarely DVD), games (PSP, PS1, PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox OG, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Wii, Wii U, 3DS, DS, GameBoy Advance, GameBoy (including Color), PC, and occasionally the Switch 1), and sometimes even oldass software. I'm not sure if this constitutes a hoarding problem or not yet but it does look really nice all organized on a shelf, so who cares?

Yesss, I have like ~30 CDs and counting, and also very much take advantage of my mum's DVD collection as well as have some old PS3 games which have been sitting unplayed for who knows how long (the PS3 is our DVD player these days)

I got a pretty big DVD collection that me and my father have been keeping alive for a while, and now I'm starting my own vinyl collection (for now I only have guns n' roses and folklore music from my country)!! Also thinking about starting a CD one since most music platforms (to not say all) SUCK 

Yes, I have a bunch of CDs, mostly game disks and movie files all in good condition.

I've got a small one, just a few cassettes, dvds, and cds. i also have some old wiiu games alongisde my ps4 ones. i dont really play on those anymore, but i do have them around!!

honestly i love my cd collection, and i like showing it off even more! its not much, but its mine!

I collect DVDs again bc I got tired of my favorite shows and movies leaving streaming platforms. Plus they're great to have around when the internet is down. Also started collecting vinyl records instead of CDs after some of my CDs got so old they literally wore out 😭

i generally prefer to buy disks for games. it makes a cool collection, but also you can sell the games when you dont want them anymore. i also do cds, cassettes, floppy disks, etc

I had a huge collection of CDs and DVDs but i moved last year and they got lost... ALL 300+ OF THEM AND IM STILL CRASHING OUUUUTTTTTTT
