Been getting into physical media for songs, games (PS3 and XBOX one) and movies mainly cause streaming services and most online game platforms SUCK now!
Anyone else have one? (Might be the dumbest question to ask this site but I will anyways)

Yup, nothing beats the feeling of flipping through the shelves, besides that way i dont have to worry about getting my favourite movie or series wiped suddendly from a streaming app
Yes! I have a pretty decent vinyl and cassette collection! i want more CDs :)

It's not massive but I do have a pretty hefty collection! I have a lot of books ranging from topics like fiction to marine biology to language instruction, a good stack of comics, CDs, photobooks, blu-rays and DVDs of films and shows, games for a number of consoles, etc.
Part of my reasoning is due to availability and pricing with streaming services, but I also just like to own things physically. There's a lot more intention when it comes to owning something and I'm not restricted by internet or device storage. There's also a lot more included with physical stuff too! CDs, at least with Asian albums come with basically free language study materials and plenty of references photos for drawing, movies come with a plethora of bonus features (if the company didn't cheap out..), etc etc.
some dvds, I have the whole supernatural series on dvd, I'd have more, but ~funds~ (and I'm happy I bought when I did cause they took out the og music of seasons 1-2, big bummer)
@Somedeadpoet oh my God, that's the worst! I'm so sorry!!
TT-TT
@Erah Mar aww thank you, yeah im still not recovering lol, especially that they were actually from 90s-00s so they weren't expensive or hard to find like now, i mean DVDs , DVD player, CDs, Cassetts, walkman, Camera's, Gameboys, Nintendo DC ALL GONE
@Somedeadpoet the fact that you didn't go postal on the movers is a testament to your self-control.
Hopefully eBay can help you recover some of what was lost for a decent price.
@Erah Mar I actually did lol, i contacted the company and after a few days of searching they didn't find anything and that they will make the drivers reimburse me but i refused because i wouldn't want that money to come from 2 people earning minimum wage + it would've been enough to rebuy everything back, so its was a lose-lose situation
I have a few CDs and I started buying all of my games physically, but I don't think I should call that a collection... (yet). I end up obtaining media through uh alternative means most of the time so yeah :P. When I do get something officially I always go for physical though
