Been getting into physical media for songs, games (PS3 and XBOX one) and movies mainly cause streaming services and most online game platforms SUCK now!

Anyone else have one? (Might be the dumbest question to ask this site but I will anyways)

I have a shelf in my closet and like half of it is filled with dvds, cds, books, games, vinyl records and even a few 8-track tapes, physical media is cool.

Replying to @Somedeadpoet (post is on page 3): “@Erah Mar I actually did lol, i contacted the company and after a few days of searching they didn't find anything and that they will make the drivers reimbur...”

@Somedeadpoet bummer, my friend. Bummer.

I have a heavy collection of television shows and movies on DVD and Bluray. I probably own upwards of 1000 discs, I will be ready for when the fall of the internet™ happens lol.

i have a couple of Old PC CD's still in their original cases,ps1 games, CD's to play on the aforementioned ps1, a couple of magazines and movie DVD's. I really wanna get more physical media (¬_¬").

However where my collection of physical media lacks, i have a shit ton of old electronics from the 90's and 2000's

I've got a CD collection plus a CD burner so I can burn playlist onto them. 😼

I'm starting my collection again soon thankfully. My uncle is giving me his Greenday and The Offspring CDs for whenever I get my car fixed.

I have a Sony Camcorder ( CCD-TRV80), Sony Walkman (WM-F2015 AM/FM), lots of cassettes/vinyl/CDs/DVD, Ipod, CD/DVD player

Yup. I have around 35 CD's (no where near as many as i want, I'm growing the collection currently.), some dvd's, I also have some video tapes for my camcorder. It's a sony handycam ccd-trv68 and it takes hi8 tapes so i have a box of tapes.

Red Rover, Red Rover, Bob Lazar's Coming Over.

i've just got a few vinyls that i get down at the local morning markets and a few CD's i got from travelling overseas! It's pretty fun trying to find bands that I like (or ones that I find interesting) in the wild! Had some pretty cool chats with people while searching for them anywayz

 ?

Yup!! I own a couple cds and I got a HUGE DVD collection and I will stand by the opinion that watching movies on dvd IS THE BEST WAY to watch movies at home

i collect vintage bodice rippers and vintage gothic romance. almost all of the books i collect dont have an ebook version available and i love the covers. some of the stories are hit or miss, but love them anyways. maybe books are not what most people consider "physical media" in this conversation, but if the books are not preserved by someone, they wouldn't exist soon since most of these are just lost to time at this point.

@toxin I personally count books as physical media. It's physical, it's media, and --this is the most important part-- you OWN it. No one can take it away from you. =D

My great grandma had so many bodice rippers, I think that's what she exclusively read for the last decade or so of her life. She was a fkin hoot. Also, some of those books have decent stories, and yeah, some of the covers are incredible! Modern ones are boring.

@Erah Mar

Some of the stories can be really good. I always find it funny people complaining about romance books today, especially dark romance. Like raunchy, dark, weird, romance has been a thing for EVER. All our grandmas liked a little dubcon 😂

@toxin ...y'know, I never put two and two together. Grannies definitely liked dubcon. XD

hell yeah! i have so many books, cds, cassettes, vinyls, dvds, and old xbox 360 games. i also put all of my cds onto itunes and burn them onto my ipod classic! in my future home i plan on having shelves to display all of my physical media <3

collecting dvds now but i mostly have cds

I collect a lot of cds and vinyls cds are a lot more excessible but less expensive depending on where you shop and honestly I have a lot from my mom who collected a lot of new wave stuff and stuff from my dad who was into some of the same hair metal bands I am. As for shopping for it Walmart is kinda a good place if you shop online I got “Too fast for love” which is the debut album of Motley Crue I believe but you can also look on places like discogs or even Amazon it just depends on what your looking for. Authentic record stores have them for up to 70-80 is the highest I’ve seen in person in a store but it depends on the record you get as those ones are new and sometimes come with posters or something equivalent to that. I got Nevermind the Bollocks by the Sex Pistols and Bloody Kisses by type o negative from a record store kinda near my area. Sorry this is a lot I just really like nerding out on this stuff.

@xX_JewelJunkie_Xx don't worry about nerding, I think we're all on board with you.  ^_^
