also taking endings. here are some of my favorites. (why are the best openings always the 2nd ones??????)

Pre-timeskip openings are great in general, i love how most of them show the series' spirit of adventure while also showing the silliness and friendship of the mugis. I think that these openings are the maximum expression of this

i remember watching naruto as a child, but actually i dont remember anything about the plot. apparently my brain decided this is the most memorable thing about naruto, gives me good childhood memories

maybe this is an unpupolar opinion. genuinely i think that gantz it's just a bunch of edgy bullshit, but the opening it's very cool at least

absolutely the opening for Texhnolyze. The vibes are immaculate. Some of its general aesthetic sensibilities came from this

The original Hellsing opening, Trigun OP, Cowboy Bebop OP - These are my favorite openings (and anime) of all time because of how cool they are T_T

Chainsaw Man OP 1 - Idk why this just blew me away when it came out. The animation is sooo good

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood OP 1 - Probably the best anime I've ever seen, and the opening captures it really well. My mind was blown when I finished it and the first 10 seconds finally made sense T_T

Mob Psycho 100 OP 1 / OP 2 - Soooo cool and creative, the animation and art style is amazing

JJK OP 3(???) i don't care for jjk much (unpopular opinion i know) and i sound like a broken record but the animation holy shit. It's sooo good

im too lazy to embed them but the opening of keep your hands off eizouken is pretty good both in terms of the song (really catchy) and the visuals. Same for sonny boy, kimi ni todoke, dorohedoro and the mononoke opening (both in mononoke and in ayakashi samurai horror tales).

Also, I always see ppl talking about the first op of kamisama kiss, how iconic it is and all, but I think the second one deserves some love too! I love how catchy the song is.

I am also surprised no one has brought up soul eater already! resonance is iconic.

Aside from that, the opening+ending of toilet bound hanako kun are great.

other nice ones are the opening from lain, elfen lied and bye bye yesterday which I forgot what opening was in particular since I mostly read the manga.

and lastly, when focusing on bands/artists that have done lots of openings without centering on any particular one I would have to bring up cö shu nie (especially their tpn endings), frederic and aliproject (which is always a treat to hear)

I want to be into jjba! the intro looks so fun, but :< idk how to start to get into it cause i found the first season to be, erm, not my thing. but the clips and the characters make me want to watch it. maybe ill force myself into it.
