after my last forum topic i got curious about the opposite question
i'd say i'd start but from the top of my head i can't really think of a movie that would fit in that box.

The Cell
Into the wild, atleast in my country ive seen alot of people call it boring, unrealistic and depressing.
Haven't seen that movie, but read the book. I understand why he did what he did, but the guy was massively unprepared and hopelessly idealistic. I've worked in the environment he died in, the land wants to kill you.
ive both read the book and watched the film, he wasn't underprepared, but he did do poor choices, like abandoning the map and letting the elk meat rot. The fact he died to food poisoning was a result of the fact the food was not lethal alone, but combined with a low calorie diet made it lethal, because the small amounts of poison couldn't be processed and led to paralyzation.
I left with the impression that he didn't know what he was getting himself into, and that he was just too inexperienced to properly take on far-north living. I know first-hand what it's like up there, and how people survive up there, and it's nothing like what he did or expected -- other than foraging/hunting. I think he was extremely underprepared and fatally idealistic. It is a fate of many who romanticize the subarctic and then have the beautiful and harsh reality crush them.
cars 2!!!!
Human Centipede and Tusk
@thevoidisred
I didn't know that that was the same costume designer for Dracula '92. It seems so obvious now. Thanks for that nugget of knowledge.
@⸸⸸⸸𝕶𝖎𝖑𝖑𝖌𝖆𝐳𝖒𝖔𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖓⸸⸸⸸ I love Waterworld, I don't understand why people hate it so much.

Rockula. It's a film about a vampire who still lives at home with his mom, but starts a band with a bunch of human barfly buddies so he can get closer to his reincarnated girlfriend and stop her from dying --again.
it's such a stupid movie, but it's funny, the music is good, and it has Bo Diddley. I believe you can find it on youtube for free. It's a family favorite of ours.

wait that actually sounds so cute
@beebeebeebee It's a childhood favorite of my entire family! Very silly and super fun. And it has some big names in music, too! You used to be able to watch it for free on youtube, but I guess MGM acquired Cannon Films, and now they want people to pay for it. Dumb. The trailers are still up there, as well as the songs.

Donnie Darko for some reason idk why ppl hate it 🫤
@beebeebeebee people hate donny darko???

i agree sm its weirdly one of my fav movies
Is Freddy Got Fingered still hated? Because if so that's my pick. When you approach it from the angle of Tom Green purposefully wasting your time while simultaneously flipping the bird to studio executives, then it gets really good.
The original Dune movie from the 80s, the one directed by David Lynch. I know a couple other people who like it, but I don't think anyone quite matches the level of rabid obsession I have for that movie.
