On the group Rewind Lounge we watch a movie-film every Sunday at 5:00pm (EST) through screen share. During the week, folks talk about what we want to watch and there's a thread with movie suggestions and link for voting on the general forum board.
Always room for more!
For your question, my 'favorite' changes from day to day, but this morning I'll say "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"
Scott pilgrim vs the world :]

Jacob's Ladder (1990) because it's the movie I wish I had written and directed.
Blazin' Saddles and Young Frankenstein. Just because of the insanely crazy great cast and both are the absolute shits when it comes to comedies. Mel Brooks is #1 in book.

Psycho!! Best horror of all time. Hitchcock's magnum opus. Perfectly crafted story and mystery. Fantastic acting from Perkins.
Alien movie. I love old sci-fi movies that has CRT monitors, big buttons and such in a spaceship. They really put many details of the environment, the crew, and the alien itself. It was also interesting the members of the spaceship are actually space truckers, instead of the typical astronauts or scientific people.
Too bad after Aliens movie, the franchise went downhill imo. (Although Alien Romulus is kinda ok tbh)
I'm a big fan of the truman show. I also like the psychological videos say stuff like "Truman knew that he was in a show from the beginning?!?!"
The '93 Jurassic Park. Grew up with the whole series and even read the books, actually. I was a huge dino kid haha.
To Wong Foo, Thanks for everything Julie Newmar (1995) its one of my favorites! what I liked most was the costumes and the story I love camp movies!! ![]()

Wolf Children, saw it as a kid and it's such a good movie.
Monster(2023), its so cute, but really sad and i love how real it is. They are so cute defenitly recommend, but you will prob cry.
It's a tie between the 2018 Suspiria and the 1977 Suspiria! Both are so good
Whiplash
I’m not really a big movie fan, to be honest, but I have a special passion for the few I do like (and whenever I recommend them, people usually end up liking them too); I recommend *Whiplash* (and I’ve recommended it several times, because I think that—whether you’re the teacher, the student, or a family member—you can empathize with those perspectives if you take the time to reflect on them). And I’d say I like the general interpretation of the message (screw you, Damien Chazelle, if you think art boils down to the artist’s intention at the moment of creation (though I love it with all my heart, I see that observation as mistaken)—it’s a reduction of what art is, and the same goes for those who subscribe to that argument: they should have made an ending that was less ambiguous or one that didn’t leave room for such an interpretation, if they dislike the way the public might view a work).
During a gap year (in addition to high school), I spent my time drawing day and night, striving to improve—until at one point I developed wrist pain that simply made it quite difficult. But I was doing it precisely in that quest to be the best; I don’t think being the best comes without sacrifice—whether it’s time or your own body (contact sport athletes might relate to this point more)—and that loss of time or focus on a particular thing translates to less time for other things (see *LookBack* as well, and perhaps you’ll understand this point with Fujino and his karate classes).
I have a new favorite movie once a month but rn it's probably Kill bill
