The cozy wholesome thread

Thought I'd carve out a wee spot away from social media bickering, drama, and trollishness.

And create what I hope is a nice place for the simple pleasures in life. Those wee wholesome moments that you deeply enjoy.

The smell of a good used bookstore. 

Walking by the river in spring and seeing the new baby ducks that season.

The energetic feeling just before a thunderstorm breaks.

Lunch with an old friend that you haven't seen in a while.

Whatever!

What are the small 'everyday' sort of things that you cherish and make you happy?

• warm coffee in the morning
  
• looking at the clock and realizing I have much more time left than I thought
• the clean sink and counter after I've done all the dishes
• when my cat curls up on my chest and purrs against me when I wake up in the morning and when I'm going to sleep at night
• when I go into another room and my cat comes and finds me so that he can be in the same room as me
• Friday night when I can stay up late knowing I'll be able to sleep in the next morning 
• sleeping in on weekends and having a nice breakfast because I have plenty of time to make it and eat it
• going to sleep and waking up when it's raining (it almost never rains here sadly)
• when a friend texts me first/unprompted
• waking up and actually feeling rested
• after laundry is done and I have fresh clean sheets and my most comfy clothes
• being in fresh air around trees and plants 

The sound of the rain at night lulling me to sleep 

Showing up to a brand new D&D campaign with a shiny new character that you can't wait to play!

AND a second character sheet with that character's twin (same stats copied over, but different name) in case you're original character dies unexpectedly 😉 

My boyfriend and I watch this youtubers daily video together every night before bed, its a really nice way to unwind and fall asleep. makes me forget hes in another country sometimes, cozied up with the video, his voice and my rabbit plush that matches his.

I also really enjoy drawing, I doodle almost every day.. my characters (mainly one) bring me immense joy..

and while not everyday persay, like three or four times a week ill meet with my friends to play a table top roleplaying game, and its some of the best fun with the best company ever. My favorite games with my favorite people.

Alot of things on the internet give me joy everyday, even if the people im with that share with me that joy live miles upon miles away. I wouldn't trade any of them for the world.

Brand new seasons for my favorite games

Driving during a sunrise or sunset and getting to see the true beauty of the sky

The smell of a brand new book or manga - mmm

Watching a brand new series or movie with my partner

Waking up and feeling fully rested and having no pain or symptoms

Going for a walk/hike in nature and getting to take it all in

When a brand new audiobook is uploaded to Libby and I am the 1st in line

Rolling down the car window

New clean sheets on the bed

I love having a window open on a nice day and feeling the breeze come through while I’m sitting at my desk, fresh air does wonders. 

That first cup of coffee. From a pot on the burner of a stove (or grate over the campfire!)

making masks and working on ideas to make masks

feeling when someone is happy, even from far away, just knowing they are happy and suddenly feeling happiness too

smelling book thats never been opened

likes to eat oatmeal.. bringing me unimaginable joy everyday

seeing friend talking to me on the internet , even if am a little shy.. i love seeing comments and friends (´｡• ω •｡`)

Sometimes ... a weekend with no plans, no obligations, and nothing to do is a gift. 

Eating a big bag of cherries all to myself.
