People who keep a lot of tabs open, why?

When I say a lot, I mean A LOT. People who keep like 15, 30, even 50 tabs open on their PC, why? I keep wondering about it but I can't just figure out why, what's the benefit? Bookmarks exist, YouTube has a Watch Later list, so what makes the increase power usage worth it?

For me it's mostly just laziness. Like i sometimes feel too tired to close them. And/or is search multiple posts at once without going back to the main page over and over again.

I'm forgetful and having things open rather than bookmarking makes it easier to remember. Also just 5 of them are communication platforms anyways(whatsapp, spacehey, FR, FR groups)

I keep 4 tabs open, uni site, discord, and friendrewind, then the 4th is for any searching, playing, browsing etc. sometimes if need to have 5+ tabs at the same time if I’m studying or doing something super duper important but i will NEVER get the 14 tabs open thing, there is just nooo reason for that

I'm afraid that if I close my tabs, I'll lose whatever article I was reading forever...

I usually keep a lot of tabs open if I’m doing work or multitasking since I got 4-5 websites open as I’m doing work 

I might need them later idk

idk tbh sometimes i don't actually realise how many i have open until my laptop slows down

Let me run over to my company's CEO's office real quick for that answer. That man has like 30 open at all times.😂

If I put it as a bookmark I'll never look at it again. So... I guess the answer to your question is ADD

Yeah sometimes i wonder if people know theres a bookmark function.

Purely for aesthetic purposes. I want my computer to match the inside of my brain.

32 tabs open rn, i swear i use all of them. 

i leave them open for either convinience or as a reminder to get something done 

my mind constantly spirals off to different subjects and i forget to close them out

For me sometimes going about the useful stuff will downloading or extracting the contents of every internet as we speak for it as my own experience. When comes the many tabs like 30 or 50 but takes taking up the RAM but not on chrome, honestly i'm using the mentioned browsers: firefox, helium and brave.

i'm scared that i'll lose the things i'm reading or watching lol. They aren't important enough for bookmarks and there's way too much stuff anyways and my history has too much stuff so i just keep my tabs open (i have 70 tabs open my laptop is fried i think )

I like to think I'm a dragon hoarding riches wit 'em. plus, it lets me look at allllllllll the cool stuff without having the risk of losing other cool things! 

school... unfortunately most of my classes for school require 1000 tabs cause of articles, cert websites (doing two certificate courses), uni courses, signing in, etc, etc. I get so happy when I get to close a ton after I've finished smth tbh :3

im gonna need my 30+ tabs at some point.. 
unfortunately im always multitasking so at anypoint in time im probably doing multiple things that have no correlation to eachother>

i dont like to use bookmarks or like things to keep track of the websites im on because as SOON as the tabs closed i essentially completely forget about it 
trust me ive tried using them before but ive noticed the best way for me to remember to finish everything is my tab hoarding
