whatever the 'early internet days' mean to you, what is something you found / discovered that shaped you into who you are today? for example, creepypasta and the creepypasta community was a big part of my childhood and definitely helped develop the person i am today!

@Ziggy Drown_ed old forums and creepypasta is such a distinct memory for me :3

@thevoidisred I LOVED NEWGROUNDS ANIMATIONS. i just checked the site the other day and im so glad its still active!!

gacha studio

@critical this is one of the answers i was most expecting, anything gacha related was verryyy popular! i don't know if it still is though.

@youaredoomed I think it might still be somewhat popular, but I think its over its prime

Bolt.com (those who know...), rotten, Audiogalaxy, MSN chatrooms, Deadjournal, multitudes of now dead forums on a bunch of topics (mainly metal).  I don't know if they shaped me, but they were all huge impacts on my "early internet" experience.

Worship Me -- I am dead

@Kommando Mutiliid wow i think i remember deadjournal very briefly. i believe it was just dying out when i found it though. super cool!!

@thevoidisred god maybe i should make a new account and check out some more newgrounds stuff :3

Definetly stuff like Channel Frederator,Watchmojo,Blameitonjorge,LsupersonicQ,Smosh,Eddsworld and Asdfmovie for sparking my intrest in cartoons,animations,video games,lost media and other random pop culture stuff. Websites like deviantart And Dragoart got me into drawing too. And flash games as well. Specifacly the ones from cartoon network and nickelodeon's websites. But also games from Nitrome and Flipline studios as well. Thats all i could remember now.

🍞 Bread makes you FAT?!?

@Sparklingsound bring back flash games.

@youaredoomed

Absolutely.

🍞 Bread makes you FAT?!?

forums for sure. and gaiaonliine, and flash game sites like kongregate. facebook when it was cool and used to let you poke people. youtube channels like jacksfilms. my friends and i cyberbullying dahvie vanity on facebook until he blocked us.

@ptolemy i used to love kongregate so much dude they need to revive that place somehow.

Homestar Runner, early YouTube, Gary’s Mod RP videos (the ones with Pokemon models), and videos I for sure was too young to be watching lol

@Hazel early youtube was so fun, i kinda miss when youtube had less restrictions

I would say the AVGN. I learned… a lot of swear words because of him lmao. But more importantly, I learned quite a bit of English thanks to his videos.

im not unc like everyone else (/j) but old youtube videos and archives of old sites.

we'll pretend to leave and then, we'll meet again, when both our cars collide.

Back in the late 90s, early 00s, I used to be in a (very small) publicly accessible Java-based webchat with a whole bunch of people for like... about a decade? Literally all of the internet no-no's like giving out phone numbers so we could call each others' landlines & knowing everyone's address so we could send notes & doodles through the mail, & most of us were also on ICQ/AIM with each other throughout the years, as well as a few of my real-life friends at the time occasionally hanging out in the chat when we couldn't go out (because we were, like, children). I met about half of the internet randoms in person eventually. For awhile in my late teens I even dated someone semi-local to me that I met through the chat. I don't talk to any of those people anymore but there are a few I wouldn't mind talking to again.

Creepypasta and watching my mom on yo ville (?) and my space :3
