MBMBaM and other podcasts - anyone?

Back to Movies & TV

Not sure where discussions on podcasts and radio programs should go.

Anyway, I love My Brother, My Brother, and Me and this week's episode had me laughing!

From the McElroys I also dig "The Adventure Zone", even if I don't love every arc.

Sawbones

And even Still Buffering

Anyone dig the McElroys?

Or other podcasts on Maximum Fun?

Wha'cha got? What should I be checking out?

Welcome to Night Vale is always classic, especially the early years. They also do one called Alice Isn't Dead that has made a comeback for a third season! Both are sort of in the "Unsettling pseudo horror" genres. Not scary, but very good.

The Penumbra Podcast's Juno Steel is one I relisten to often. It's a Space Noir on Mars with a full cast. They also did another one called Second Citadel which is a semi-medieval/high fantasy, very popular.

Lore by Aaron Manke is good, lots of creepy stories and solid research. He has a soothing voice.

The Witch Bitch Amateur Hour is one of my favorite non-fictions, and it follows two cousins from Texas on their beginning journey into witchcraft. They have very good chemistry and are rather funny, although they recently went through some changes and one of the cousins left the podcast. It's still going, and still highly received by the fanbase.

@Erah Mar I'd probably cringe too hard at the witchy one 😅

I think I'll look for the Alice one. That sounds neat 😊

If you like horror (and very badly written horror), I highly suggest checking out CreepCast! The hosts are both youtubers, Wendigoon and MeatCanyon. They read mostly creepypastas and internet horror stories and commentate on the quality of said stories. Some of my favorites of theirs are Left Right Game, Dionaea House, and I Work At A Half-Priced Voodoo Shop. I prefer watching them on youtube over listening on spotify because they have some amazing visual bits that you just don't get when only listening lol.

I haven't watched much of their content but the McElroy brothers crack me up. I LOVE their Fallout 4 Monster Factory series with the Final Pam. If you haven't watched that, PLEASE do. I know nothing about the Fallout games and I still thoroughly enjoyed it
