i'm getting through my watchlist and i need to add some more. even if it's a pretty common one, drop it anyway. i've been known to do a rewatch or two (or fifty)

My all time fav right now is Ginger Snaps! been really into the werewolves lately.

I really like Good Boy, Weapons, Hereditary, and Exit 8!

@indighost weapons and hereditary are so good, i'll have to check out the other two

@draven demon exit 8 may be more of a thriller than horror, but it builds up the paranoia factor so wonderfully. and Good Boy is SO good. i've seen it twice now and would absolutely watch it a third time. (just a cw for pet death tho, if that's something that bothers you)

the medium, audition, lake mungo, the blair witch project, ring series, the wailing, a tale of two sisters, the dark and the wicked, gonjiam

@kaal coming in with some good ones, audition and lake mungo are on my watch list

@kaal The Blair Witch Project and The Ring are always solid choices

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).

cracks fingers*

And still more thats just the top of my list.

ignore the numbers underneath thats just how i arrange them etc subject to frequent changes.

@⸸⸸⸸𝕶𝖎𝖑𝖑𝖌𝖆𝐳𝖒𝖔𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖓⸸⸸⸸ Dude, have you seen Haunt (2019) or Hush (2016)? Since you like slashers, I figure you'll like them.

@ExMachina I have not got to those yet no but I'll keep them in mind for sure

@⸸⸸⸸𝕶𝖎𝖑𝖑𝖌𝖆𝐳𝖒𝖔𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖓⸸⸸⸸ this is the energy i wanna see, i'll be referring to this reply right here when i need a movie to watch lmao

@draven demon more than happy to be of service 😎

man i'm so picky with horror movies (i tend to gravitate towards the shows), but my tops are

the others (saw it when i was like 5/6 and it forged itself as the scariest movie ever in my young child mind, but on rewatches, the concept and execution still holds strong)

obsession (new, and absolutely blown away by it, i do warn there is an sa scene—the whole movie's a bit of an allegory for it—and a dead pet so tread with caution)

sinners (i could actually speak about this movie for hours, so beautifully well done, acting is insane, vampires are great, and i love the music, an all around 10/10)

and if you have time for ~shows~ i recommend

the haunting of hill house & the haunting of bly manor (anthology-esque so you don't have to watch in order or anything, and they hide ghosts in all their shots, so on rewatches you can spot ghosts in the background and it's spooky cause you didn't see it before, also just a masterclass of storytelling, more 10/10s from meee)

@majesstiqe i'll have to add the others to my watchlist. sinners and obsession are still on my mind after seeing them in theatres.

i loved the haunting of hill house, i'll have to check out bly manor too

@draven demon obsession HAUNTS me. and yesyes! bly is similar, same actors but very emotional in it's horror, lemme know if/when you check it out!

@majesstiqe The Others was so good! And I need to add Sinners to my DVD collection.

i love horror films sm, i have wayyy too many favourites!

house of 1000 corpses (2003), my bloody valentine (1981), psycho sisters (1998), death nurse (1987), the last horror film (1982), parents (1989), red spirit lake (1993), gore whore (1994), sick girl (2006), shatter dead (1994), sick-o-pathics (1995), night of the demons (1988), the living dead girl (1982), the prowler (1981), the texas chainsaw massacre (1974), 964 pinocchio (1991), house (1977) and that's not even all of them lol. i love this genre way too much ❤
