i'm getting through my watchlist and i need to add some more. even if it's a pretty common one, drop it anyway. i've been known to do a rewatch or two (or fifty)
Urban Legend
Jeepers Creepers
Werewolves Within
The Wolf of Snow Hollow
Anna and the Apocalypse
Puppet Master
Scream
Final Destination
Pumpkinhead
Frozen
And I'm also starting to enjoy horror romance films, like Warm Bodies and Your Monster
Eden Lake is probably the closest (Honorable mention for Final Destination: Bloodlines for giving me new things to be paranoid about)
well obsession ofc is my current number one but some others are suspiria(2018), mama (2013), the witch (2015), possession(1981), incantation(2022), V/H/S/94(2021), ritual(2017), the wicker man (1973), rec(2007)ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
I started watching the older ones more recently, and one of my favorites is Jekyll and Hyde (1931) – because I'm kinda obsessed with the book and the musical, lol – and also Mr. Sardonicus.
I also thrifted a DVD of The Crimson Ghost and was so excited to watch it – only to find out that the plot is kinda ass, tbh. Though Ash and the Crimson Ghost are one of the most underrated 'villain duos,' I guess.
Still, showing sequences of three guys throwing each other into furniture every ten minutes got kinda annoying. Then I found out that breakaway furniture was a new technique at the time – and it seems like they really got a kick out of using it.
Guinea Pig: Mermaid in the Manhole
a few of my faves are midsommar, frankenhooker (def more comedy horror but i think it counts cx), and the final (2010). hope u like them!
@samurai frankenhooker is such a good movie
I haven't seen many but Evil Dead 2 is the funniest horror film I've seen but for like a full on horror film I guess like, 28 days later. I wanna watch Evil Dead Burn when it comes out too.
I've been obsessed with the V/H/S/ series, but PARTICULARLY V/H/S/85 and it's throughline between No Wake and Ambrosia.
@Anemoia i have been meaning to give the v/h/s movies a try !!
the whole V/H/S series (without Viral) absolutely rocks in terms of found footage, also if ur keen on spending some cash there's heaps of great horror in theaters atm (the 2 big indie ones of the summer)
Has anyone seen any of the evil dead movies? I'm going to start them soon because there is another movie coming out in theaters but I wanna know if they are any good first.
@St1nkyQueso they are so good, they always have super insane scenes and the one liners are to die for
any stephen king (except a few) but my number 1 favourite is Carrie!
I haven't watched many horror movies but my top three would probably be Get Out, The Shining, and Scream (1). I know they are all very mainstream but it takes me a very long time to watch a movie because I'm always worrying it's going to be bad and I'm going to regret it.
