I wanna sit down and watch more (I need to watch more movies in general) but one that recently really sat with me was NOPE (2022)

(I also really enjoyed Sinners but that's thriller and not really horror)

My all time favorite is The Descent. The layers of fear get me every damn time. I'd reccomend going in blind for a fantastic experience. It made me terrified of caves and inspired the book I'm trying to write!

we pretend the sequel doesnt exist though.just ignore that.

I was also suprisingly horrified at The Fly (1986 version) . Still think about it from time to time. And The Substance. My go to's if body horror is your thing.

It's tamaNOTchi! Click to feed!< click me!<

I have a list specifically dedicated to this on letterboxd lol https://boxd.it/jEBCy

The Haunting (1963)

The Exorcist (1973)

Carrie (1976)

The Omen (1976)

Alien (1979)

The Thing (1982)

Child's Play (1988)

Pet Sematary (1989)

Ringu (1999)

Ju-on: The Grudge (2002)

A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)

Saw (2004)

The Wailing (2016)

Evil Dead (2013) and Evil Dead Rise (2023) Maybe unpopular opinion but I prefer these to the original trilogy.

Nope (2022), Talk to Me (2022), Smile (2022), X (2022) God 2022 was such a good year for horror.
