I think corykenshin is the most overrated youtuber oat. I’ve never been able to sit through any of his videos. Lebroski gets 19m views for playing indie slop video games with ps2 graphics, I’d be more entertained watching 2016 gamingwithkev. And i swear his fans got abandonment issues. Yall should HIGHKEY use his absence from yt to find a better Youtuber.

People are treating real humans like they're fictional and fictional characters like they're real people too much these days. not even sure if this could count as a hot take but social media is one of the worst inventions made by man . like it's great in the sense of providing exposure to important situations and helping those in need that cant get help in any other way, but that's like the only pro . its caused so many issues with mental health, wrecked pop culture, made people to used to being fed things 24/7, and the fact that it's so easy to  exposed to anyones wild ass opinions causes so much unnecessary drama or issues with people outside of social media too. but like literally as soon as facebook entered the scene things were no longer the same. genuinely modern social media is so damaging, not to mention how INSANELY normalised its become to be an absolute asshole 24/7 becaude you cant get any repercussions . even people who have done heinous things and have been cancelled can come back from the dead and get attention no issue. also the amount that it has affected media literacy is insane. and on a less dire note i hate how trends have popularised a lack of individuality and money spending and toxicity, although this issue has been prominent since the 2000s. i really think that as a society a LOT of people would benefit from a lack of modern social media. of course like i said earlier ,  i feel bad saying this due to how many people have gotten incredible help through social media which they wouldn't have been able to do otherwise, but the cons and the damage that it has caused outways the pros. 

another point that kinda doesn't have to do with the previous one is i am incredibly sick of the lack of individuality and colour in modern days. as someone whos abhorrently obsessed with interior design i sigh every time i see the 782nd beige or muted colour basic house design . ESPECIALLY when kids are involved . of course i dont mind if people like that style but the amount of stale minimalism that has seeped into every corner of daily life really doesnt help with everything else going on . i mean its like pretty basic to know that freshness and colour and uniqueness typically makes you happier, so seeing all the bland copy paste shit everywhere really doesnt make you feel any better . dont even get me started on clothing stores too , every store sells the same damn thing . literally . like i havent seen individuality in any regular clothing store that isnt one thats specifically made for alt people and its so boring. im tired of the lack of creativity in modern design just because rich peoples greed has been the number 1 trend since 2020. also the fact that you can't go anywhere without having to spend money . capitalism has rotted humanity

My hot take: Memes abt wildly known ped0s were created to distract us from the fact that they are actually an extremely serious matter and shouldn’t be taken as a joke. I know this may not be a “hot” take, but I wanted to mention it bc some ppl are so consumed in these memes abt horrific people that they don’t realize just how awful they are, and I think that there is someone who WANTS ppl to feel like they are just jokes.(My personal opinion! Pls don’t get mad if u don’t agree!)

YouTube Essay videos and over edited videos suck and im tired of looking at the most generic human being I've seen sitting in a sparsely decorated or weirdly decorated room holding a mic. genuinely half the dudes have the same hair and voice, YouTube essays have rotted the platform as bad as the ai and the shit updates put on that site.
