For me, it’s Zim from Invader Zim. And as an autistic person that had related him even before I was diagnosed, he really just speaks to me (well, minus the harvesting other classmate’s organs and stuff part). I just really relate to him, to the way other classmates treat him like, sorta being an outcast and misunderstood by peers, and some of his overall behavior just reminds me of myself, specifically when I was in (INSERT A PLACE WHERE I WAS PRETTY OUTCASTED AT).
At second is Caine from TADC, this is one of my more current ones. I just really relate to him as an autistic (woah Wormi headcanoning a cartoon character as autistic??? WOAHHHHHHH SO UNNATURAL) artist. Especially with the feeling of being unappreciated and even unloved. Along with the need of being accepted at times. Also he’s just rlly handsome and cute U.U S tier waifu.
a lot of my favorite characters are actually Disillusion Characters but i feel like Hitori Gotoh (Bocchi The Rock) is a true comfort character for me. she's there to remind me that life can be fucking awesome actually!
