Anyone else who went to high school in like the late 2000s to 2010s? I remember this poster that had tape over this girl's mouth in the hallways of my High-school. Now it feels like both extremes wanna censor each other. I also was taught by my cousin about how we allow things in the name of safety and how slippery that slope truly is especially with the government. The rise of negative algorithms have radicalized so many people who were never taught to question, to think for themselves.

When you have two extremes going against one another, it's a recipe for conflict. If either side were to admit that the other had a good point, their audience would begin to question their own judgement and where their allegiance belongs to. It's why they paint their enemies as violent, misguided or ignorant. Makes it easier to fall in line when your opponent can't be reasoned with.
That's wild to me it kinda just creates a huge block between both sides. I find one sides ideas more humane but at same time see them doing things that are very anti-human and against what I believe. So, I can't really see myself there either. Plus the strictness and lack of any room for compromise is asking for everything to fall apart.

For me, I think it's mainly about deflecting the anger to an unrelated issue. You see this with news outlets and how they divert an important problems relating to capitalism, climate change, etc. to either the liberals or the republicans and how they are the ones causing all the issues. Everyone has their own bias, even when we try to stay neutral. It's important to be aware of who is presenting information to us, and to not get distracted by the biased message, rather to focus on the evidence and form our own conclusions.

I agree. Both sides are on the censorship bandwagon, and it's not good for anybody. There are half-truths on each side. Figuring the real truth out requires hearing both sides.
Exactly.It's actually nicer to talk on a smaller social network. Everything gets drowned out on Twitter, Insta, TikTok, and everyone is afraid to even agree a little with the otherside. Its wild seeing Left and Right mirror each other with shaming people with slightly different political beliefs.
