I personally love CDs because I can just store them in my CD case and then I can display the jewel case on my shelf or wall for decoration! But I also really like tapes because they are smaller and easier to use imo. They also work way easier because they can't get scratched unlike CDs but you still have to rewind them which is less convenient but I still think they're better. As far as records go, I personally don't like them because they are way too big and require more work to actually play it. I only use the records I have to hang up on my wall or just to collect. What do you guys think?

CD's foreva!! I just started collected tapes as well, but yeah CD"s are great

CDs absolutely. much easier to store and much cheaper! records are cool too, but they're wayy too expensive to be anything more than a rare treat for me!

i like all of them,, but if i had to go with one i would go with cd's!! they're compact and can have such cool designs,, along with being pretty portable if you have a portable cd player,, and plus you can easily put your own music on them!! πŸ˜‹

1) CDs : Convenient to play, almost indestructible if you store and treat them well, takes very little space.

2) Tapes : Lovely to manipulate, lovely prices, you can make your own little mixtapes, but tape players/recorders became rarities...

3) Vinyls : It's cool to have a big good looking booklet, the occasional posters are neat, but costs a shitton of money and is extremely annoying to store and to transport ong.

CD takes the win for me, very cheap and doesn't take that much space... Tapes are second, as I don't buy much of these, but cheap too.
Record is dead-last... and not because it is bad, but because of how expensive these are nowadays. With CD/Tapes I can buy niche albums without feeling too bad about it as I don't lose much money. But with Records... I'd rather buy myself an album that I already know well and is fond of.

I collect all 3 but CDs are by far my favorite. I love how the jewel cases look all lined up plus I can play them in my car and carry them wherever I go in a little CD book. Plus they're the easiest and cheapest to collect a lot of the time.

CDs are just the best. Very accessible. Inexpensive. Easy to make your own. Can be played almost anywhere. Quality holds up. I just love CDs.Β

I collect CDs and records, so I honestly love both formats. CDs are amazing because they're so compact, easy to store, and I love how customizable they can be. Plus, displaying the jewel cases on a shelf always looks so nice.

At the same time, there's something really special about records. I love the whole ritual of taking one out of the sleeve, carefully placing it on the turntable, and hearing the needle touch the vinyl before the music starts. It just makes listening to an album feel more intentional and immersive.

I've never owned any tapes though, so I can't really compare them. Maybe one day I'll start collecting those too!

collecting wise? vinyls because the process of digging for records is so fun and its SO satisfying when you find rare ones or ones you've been wanting in your collection, especially if you like older music its just worth more imo. there's also so may undiscovered groups and obscure records you can find, its an entire experience. however, I also love cassettes since they're smaller and easier to take with you, mixtapes are also pretty easy to make

CD's, 1, they're the majority of what I collect, 2, it's really easy to burn songs on them, unlike cassettes, which you have to manually record, and 3, they're dirt cheap compared to vinyl nowadays.

Cassettes are very gratifying to finish recording stuff on them though, and you can't even alter vinyl soo..

I do like collecting vinyl, like, all of my Arctic Monkeys records have mp3 downloads, so that's neat.

All mediums are good but, CDs kinda appeal to me more.

i love cds~ i love looking at the little booklets, the different types of covers (owl city's ocean eyes fold out cover is something i've always loved), the size is right for my current room setup, and they're shiny :) i like shiny things... it's also easy to transfer your music from a cd to a computer. my ipod life changed after i got a disk drive.

are they left searching for me in eternity?

Um, for me I would put it in this order

1 - CD -by far my no.1, I love my CDs, I love that they have plastic cases, and the disc design is always beautiful, I love the multi-page booklets so many of mine have, I love it when they have a slipcase, I love the 8cm ones because theyre so cute and I love the long box they come in (they look like a little gamecube game disc😊), I love the obi japanese cds come with, I love how easy it is to rip the audio from a cd, I love how easily transportable are, I view my CDs as a parent would their children, they are my life

2 - Casette -theyre good, not my favorite, but i think theyre really nice.. I appreciate how tiny they are and how easy to store they are because of it, they definitely feel a bit outdated sometimes (moreso just playing them) but i really do like them, and the audio quality is really nice

3 - vinyl - god, I cannot even put it into words how irritating vinyl is to me, the bookshelf i store my physical media on is too small for vinyl, so its super inconvenient and they have to go somewhere else... not to mention how expensive and fragile they are!!!! Also, most of my favorite bands dont have vinyl presses, I can only think of maybe 3 bands that did it, and since those were collector's presses they are usually sold at an abysmal price of 300+ in comparison to the cd for those releases averaging like, 6 dollars each... also in my opinion, packaging wise its the least appealing, almost every record in my collection is so dull, I really think the only pro is they probably have the best sound, but that isnt enough for me since the cons are disastrousΒ

I play music on both CDs and Vinyls, i’ve never tried cassette tapes but i want to in the future. i love CDs because they are very portable and easy to store. Vinyls can be expensive depending on artist, or vinyl pressing. i get most of my CDs from Walmart or target.

CDs and mp3 files are on topΒ

I usually buy used records. Its fun to compare pressings and reissues and whatnot. But for newer albums I usually just buy CD because the vinyl release is never the focus. I feel like most labels/artists treat it as a gimmick and dont give it the care it deserves. But thats just me.

columnated ruins domino

i'm happy with any physical copy of albums i enjoy

i love CDs personally but i also collect vinyls bc theyr just as goodd

tapes fs but nobody releases official tapes often anymore, so i'd loveee to get a deck to record my fav albums and create my own mixtapes :p

i collect all three, but i prefer cds the most. they're easy to carry around, the audio quality is always so crisp, and i can easily burn them to my laptop to put on my ipod :>
