ts3 comes close, but the sims castaway (ps2) is my all time favorite despite how short the story is lol it was still so replayable for me and im currently trying to hunt down a copy to replay ittt

Sims 2 all the way dude. The interpersonal dramas I'd create were better than any soap opera on TV. And when that got boring I'd do the thing where you have a sim start the oven and then block it with a chair til it catches on fire lol π

πβοΈomg the sims 2 is amazing, i feel like i missed out only having played ts2 console spinoffs

i have only ever played three sims games in my life and all have been on my ds so perhaps my contribution is not much BUT i really loved the sims 2 ds game set in strangetown!
@batshybeaΒ ts2 spinoffs have my whole heart, im sure the ds versions were just as peak as ps2's!

Sims 2 (pc), I've been playing it since 2004 and i always come back to it!

@Lumi βΎββΊββΒ PEAKK ive never successfully downloaded ts2 w/o immediate crashes,
but i hear and see so many good things!!

The Sims 2 (PC) hands down, all the way! I also love to play The Sims Castaway Stories (PC) π

TS3 for me, TS2 being a close second.. TS3 can be a buggy piece of crap that's held together with cheap duct tape, but I find myself always coming back to it regardless :') I think its the open worlds that I love so much
Def Sims3, I loved the different stories but always played ts4 (a shame how greedy ea got with them esp)

Sims 2 all of the way. The Urbz: Sims in the city is a spin off of gamecube /ps2 / Xbox that I also Adore! I rebuilt my downtown in ts2 to be UrbzVille! :D
@xX_m33ch_Murd3r_XxΒ URBZ IS SO PEAKK OMG

Sims 2.
The Sims 2, but also the Sims 3 (for the gameplay, not really the art direction).
The Sims 2 was given for free and I have all the expansions... And I have a lot of fun just playing and seeing the various little details that were clearly implemented with a lot of love.Β
I have some pics from my own neighbourhood, Dream Valley, on my Tumblr:Β

@InaΒ oh my goodness your sims are so adorbs!!

Thanks! ^_^

@Ina I could never achieve making my Sims look this pretty and aesthetic. How do you guys do it?!
@ππ©ππ§πππ«
Haha. Thanks. :D
I have some default replacements for skins and hair, but kept the cute clothes TS2 has from that era.
I chose mostly simple looking face presets and just tweaked them a bit. ^_^

@Ina Thatβs so cool! Is there a specific website for those cute presents?
@ππ©ππ§πππ«
The face presets/templates are from the game. If you want default replacements for the base skins and even defaults for hair, I recommend Mod The Sims website + The Sims Resource + Tumblr digging bc a lot of TS2 creators are on Tumblr.Β
Mod the sims also has various mods and CC (that aren't defaults).
But hey! If you want a cheat sheet, here's a website that might help a lot with defaults:

Like @spencer said Sims 2 pc is the best hands down. I spent many of my summers playing that game to DEATH on the family computer.Β
I also have a special spot in my heart for Sims Urbz for the Game Cube. If you ever get a chance to play that version take it. It's honestly a lot of fun. You get dropped off at a dumpy apartment and need to go to different districts to earn rep to become cool. It is a lot of fun! My fav district was Neon East, Japan rave vibes through and through.
