I just thought of this question when I was drinking milk and remember the fact that when I was a kid, I used to think milk was just another form of water and if you drank milk and water together you'd get poisoned lmao.

Literally no one told me this is the worst part, a product of my own stupidity

I use to think my dad is Jakie chen. We watch this movie and he kinda a tiny bit look like him. So I ask and he say yes he just laying low rn. And i go around at elementary school saying jakie chen is my dad.

I thought that we become an adult at 10yrs old T-T

I Thought That Loving Myself Was A Sin Of Pride And Said I Hate Myself As A Kid Because .God Or Whateva

I thought there was a chance for people to explode when they sneezed - I was terrified of anyone with a cold

As a Gen Xer in my late teens, early 20s, we all knew that we would be the first generation in ages not to 'do better' than our parents success-wise.

But I naively thought we could do as well or better than our parents (young adults in the post WWII economy) if we just worked as hard as our grandparents (young adults in the great depression).

Quickly learned the system was already rigged against all of us.

I thought that the actors also died in real life after they died in the movie/TV show haha

I thought rain was god's piss

Idk if it counts but I tried to move my open window with the Force like in Star Wars. I didn't think it would work but I thought I might as well give it a try cause you never know

Oh and my dad told me that my guts will spill out of my wounds but I eventually caught on he was joking. I was extra afraid of getting hurt for a while though

When I was really young, about six years old, I didn't fully understand how years worked. I just thought it was like clocks, where once it reached a certain year everything would reset. So I was convinced that eventually that would happen and it would be 2000 again.

Always rolling with the punches and pushing on through

i thought avril lavigne was my aunt in a wig. like genuinely i thought she was pulling a hannah montana. didnt tell a soul btw i wanted to keep her secret /(x~x)\

lol

I genuinely thought that the more exhaust tips a car had, the faster it was

Around kindergarten age I believed that birthdays were on a different date every year. I don't think anyone said anything to lead me to this conclusion, it just seemed logical at the time. I literally thought my birthday would be on a new random day every year.

I was genuinely convinced as a kid that meat came from trees and that burning wood would transform it into cooked meat. Whenever my parents had a barbecue, they would use wood to start the fire for the grill, and some time later the wood and the fire would disappear and perfectly cooked meat would just pop up there.

I believed in a god that would save me

I thought because my mom produced milk, my dad had chocolate milk and I had orange juice ._.
