Love this thread. Love the things we believed as a kid.
I had to on purposely roll down the stairs in every new house I moved in either for good luck or to keep my streak. Which is why when people fall down stairs in movies for a long while, I didn't understand how it could be so horrible. I've done it like 7 times. (It was actually because I was clumsy and had parents that cared for me and thank goodness none of those staircases were dangerous.)
I read a book about the solar system and there was a page where it said the sun was gonna blow up. I cried to my mom because it made me so sad. She had to calm me down and say that it's not gonna happen in a million gorillion years. Then she told me to go back to sleep 😆
I measured my growth as a human being by measuring how much of the checkout counter or receptionist's desks I could see. I remember jumping to see what the cashier scanned or peeking what the receptionist was doing. Then at some point I was tall enough to see the surface. I was happy because I was growing older :)
