Every summer break, my sleep schedule gets disrupted. I miss falling asleep at 11 and waking up at 7. Now I fall asleep at 8, wake up at 11 roughly, then fall back to sleep at 6, and wake up at 12. Instagram, TikTok, snapchat. Everything is recorded, put online, and scrutiny never goes away in this day and age. No one is themselves, it is all what people want to see. We all have a version of ourselves created to impress, the side that is shown to the rest of the population. It is a prison of screens and lies. Us as humans have been trapped in between constraints that have been disguised as 'trends'. No one is free, no one can escape the crushing pressure that comes with media. Freedom, by... » Continue Reading

In 1888, Thoman Edison sent his 'perfected' phonograph to his agent in England. U.S. Civil war veteran and medal of honor recipient George Gouraud. On August 14th, Gouraud, playing piano, and an unnamed musician playing the cornet recorded what is thought to be the earliest recording of music. "The Lost Chord" by English composer Arthur Sullivan. Gouraud, in Edison's employ, hosted several parties in London to promote the new technologies. Sullivan was invited to one these affairs and on Oct. 5 a... » Continue Reading

Oh the sheer joy of accomplishment, for THIS is the post that shall earn me the gold blogging badgey thing of doomness! I can't believe I've finally arrived at this moment from the sweat of my brow and risking the pain of arthritic fingers as I carry on a tradition that goes way, way back to the dark dark day of Thursday before last (or whenever) that the latest crop of users from the SpaceyHaze (including myself) have begun their migration here fleeing the entropy the dying web.And as such, pac... » Continue Reading
