honestly I never really saw pinkie pie as black, mainly for her family. However I think that the interpretation of her straight hair becoming curly after seeing the rainboom being an analogy for black women straightening their hair to fit into societal norms and expectations but then deciding to wear their hair natural because it feels more true to them is really meaningful and powerful, I think women of colour deserve to have that analogy in media as it is what a lot of them experience. anyway ... » Continue Reading

Dreams
I keep having dreams where I'm portrayed as a horrible person and chastised for my actions towards others for hurting them deeply by someone I've hurt who used to love and care for me. It's probably my subconscious telling me I'm a horrible person for what I've done but to a certain extent it gets to me and whenever I wake up I start crying because these constant reminders of how much of a failed human I am even in the only sanctuary I have being my sleep I'm still reminded of my faults. I've been dating my boyfriend for nearly a year, but my parents don't know about him because they are very overprotective and nosy when it comes to my life, especially the romantic aspects of it. Don’t feel any type of connection with my body
I genuinely have to understand if this is normal, it’s not about feeling ugly, it’s that the idea of myself is not what I actually am i think, i always have problems watching my reflection and smile/express emotions, i can normally do it with friends but when I watch myself im like who even is this, i wish i had a diffrent shape not more beautiful but just different, my shape is not me it doesn’t represent it at all and this is all bad luck i guess. » Continue Reading
